Engineering Dual Degree Program
GSW ::
School of Art & Sciences :: Department of Geology & Physics Engineering Dual Degree Program
Background Information The Dual Degree Program is designed to ease the transition from the high
school experience to the demanding schedule of an engineering school which is
dedicated to the technical aspects of the engineering profession. Students who
attend GSW benefit from the broad education of a liberal arts school while
obtaining the tools necessary in their choice of an engineering field. The Dual Degree Program at GSW generally consists of three years of coursework
at GSW and approximately two years of coursework at Georgia Tech. Upon completion
of the program, the student will receive a B.S. degree from GSW in Mathematics
or a specific science (such as Chemistry or Biology) and a B.S. degree from
Georgia Tech in a specific engineering discipline. Engineering B.S. degrees
earned at Georgia Tech by GSW students include:

Aerospace Engineering
While at GSW, the specific curriculum of each student is designed by the
Dual Degree Program advisor. This curriculum will take into account the student's
individual background and selected engineering discipline. A typical schedule
results in students attending Georgia Southwestern State University for three years
and then, upon acceptance, going on to the Georgia Institute of Technology
to complete the particular requirements of the desired engineering field. Further information regarding the class schedule can be found on the GSW
class schedules page
