The Journal of Applied Financial Research (JAFR)
Articles must be submitted via electronic format. Only manuscripts in MS Word will be considered. Completed manuscripts should be emailed to: bizjourn@canes.gsw.edu.

FONT: Times New Roman, 12 pt.
MARGINS: Indent paragraphs five (5) spaces. Leave a line after each paragraph. Set the margins as follows: left, right, and top: 1 inch; bottom, 1.25 inches.
SPACING: Single space the body of the paper. Double-space before and after first- and second-level headings. Triple space between the title and before and after the author(s).
PAGE NUMBERS: Please turn page numbering off. Pencil in page numbers on hard copies if you wish.
TITLE: Bold faced and centered at the top of the first page.
AUTHORS AND AFFILIATIONS: Centered, bold-faced and single-spaced beginning three lines below the title. Do not use titles such as Dr., Professor, etc.
ABSTRACT: Begin the paper with an abstract of approximately 100 words. Type the word ABSTRACT in all capital letters, bold-faced and centered three lines below the author(s) and affiliation(s). The text of the abstract should be in italics.
HEADINGS: Show first-level headings centered, bold-faced and in capital letters. Show second-level headings flush with the left margin, bold faced, in upper and lower case letters.
BODY: Single space throughout, leaving one space between paragraphs. Text should be full-justified.
TABLES AND FIGURES: Include all tables and figures in the body of the text as close as possible to their reference.
FOOTNOTES: Do NOT use footnotes. Give references within the text showing the last name and year of publication.
REFERENCES: List references at the end of the paper in alphabetical order. Center the word REFERENCES at the beginning of the list in bold-faced, capital letters.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR(S): Immediately following the list of references, include a short paragraph about the author(s), including such information as education, titles, recognitions, other publications, etc.
COPYRIGHT: Articles submitted to The Journal of Applied Financial Research should be original work and should not be under consideration for any other publication or conference at the same time. By their submission for publication consideration, authors warrant that the work is not an infringement of any existing copyright and indemnifies the publisher (Georgia Southwestern State University) against any breach of such warranty. Papers and contributions become the legal copyright of the publisher (Georgia Southwestern State University) unless otherwise agreed.
The Mission
The mission of The Journal of Applied Financial Research is to support researchers and practitioners in the application of finance and economic development. The Journal of Applied Financial Research gives preference to papers specializing in the applications related to financial research. Regional studies and studies pertaining to small business are welcome.
Format
The Journal of Applied Financial Research annually on our website. The Journal of Applied Financial Research will have all articles available for free on our website.

Audience
The Journal of Applied Financial Research is intended for parties that are interested in the practical applications of financial research. The intended readership consists of both researchers and practitioners. The emphasis of the journal is on applications, not the statistical methodology used to derive the applications. Thus, any empirical work should be clearly outlined so that a wide spectrum audience can follow the practical applications of the manuscript.
Submission of Articles
The Journal of Financial Research is published annually every Spring. Articles should be submitted via MS Word format to: bizjourn@canes.gsw.edu. All articles must follow APA citations. The specifics are listed under author guidelines.
