Instruction for RAIN and WEBCT-VISTA
If you are a first time student at GSW, you need to log
in to RAIN

1)
Go to GSW Website:
www.gsw.edu
2)
Click on the drop-down menu in the bottom left side of
the website, and scroll down to RAIN. Click on RAIN.

Instructions
to Login to RAIN:

Go to the GSW homepage at
http://www.gsw.edu/. Click
On RAIN.

At the RAIN main menu, select the
Secured Access
Login option from the drop-down menu.

Enter your User ID and PIN. Click on
Login.
(Your USER ID is your gswID#. However, for a
limited time, students may continue use their social
security number for the USER ID.) (Your PIN MUST be a six-digit number.)
The first time
you Login, your PIN will be set to the six digits of
your birthday.

For example:

Your birthday is April 18, 1980
|

Your PIN would be 041880
|

The next screen will require Login Verification
Security Question and Answer.
Follow the directions and enter a question to which only
you would know the answer. Then, type the answer.
Click on
Submit.
The first time you Login, you will be notified that your
PIN has expired. Re-enter the original PIN [the six
digits of your birthdate]. Next, create your own PIN.
Remember, the PIN MUST be six numeral digits. Then,
re-enter your new PIN and
Click on
Login.
On subsequent visits to the web, you will simply
re-enter the new PIN you created. Your PIN may be
changed at a later date. If you forget your PIN,
simply click on the FORGOT PIN button. You will be
prompted to provide the answer to your security
question. Once you are logged into RAIN, you must
provide a new PIN to be used for future logins.

The Terms of Usage page will appear the first time
you use the Student Web. READ THIS PAGE CAREFULLY.
If you agree to the terms,
Click Continue.
If not, exit.

If you choose to continue, you will have two menus
to select from:

Student and Financial Aid Menu
-
Personal Information
If you view personal information that is incorrect,
contact the Registrar's Office
in person.
LOGOUT INSTRUCTIONS:
To ensure privacy and security of your student records,
Click on the EXIT button at the top of the web page.
Completely LOGOUT of RAIN and also close
the web browser.
WEBCT-VISTA
From the Main University Page drop down menu, click on
WEBCT.

Your
username is the first part
of your RADAR e-mail address (everything before the @
sign). Your password
is initially the same as your RAIN PIN.
Note: If your WebCT password is changed, it will no
longer be the same as your RAIN PIN. If your RAIN PIN is
changed, it will no longer be the same as your WebCT
password.
After logging in, you should be able to see a list of
your courses.

GSW WebCT help is only available Monday -Friday
during business hours.

If you click on your course and get a message saying
the course is unavailable, please contact your
instructor. This just means the instructor has not
given the class access to the materials yet.

If you are NOT using a campus computer you must go
through the browser checker before you log in the
first time. Use the link on the left to access the
browser checker.

New 24x7 WebCT Help
We now have 24x7 support for WebCT via the new
Online Support Center. This Center, designed to
answer all of your questions online with a
self-service type model, can be accessed anytime,
from anywhere. If need be, technicians are standing
by to answer questions online via online chat or
phone. This
information is on the main page of WEBCT.
