Addition - Other

This is an addition to the Georgia Board of Regents’ Common Student Learning Outcomes for the Core Curriculum. GSW is required by the BOR to compose at least one unique outcome for our students based on our core curriculum. This proposal addresses that requirement. See attached.

A. Substantive Change - Program

(1) Career Certificate for English as a Second Language (Standard Level)

Restructuring of certificate courses to better prepare students for the new TOEFL and improved academic success.

(2) Career Certificate for English as a Second Language (Advanced Level)

Restructuring of certificate courses to better prepare students for the new TOEFL and improved academic success.

(3) Ed.S. Early Childhood Program; Ed.S. Middle Grades Program

The proposal creates an alternative set of admission requirements for the Specialist Programs offered in the School of Education at GSW.
