      Stan Shurling

 Head Golf Professional

Stan currently serves as both the Head Golf Professional for Southwestern Golf Links and the Men’s Golf Coach for Georgia Southwestern State University.

Before arriving to SGL in June 2006, Stan served as the Head Golf Professional for Meadow Links Golf Course in Ft. Gaines, GA for almost 10 years.  Since turning professional in 1986, he has worked at a variety of facilities including Cairo Country Club, Pebble Creek Golf Club and Bobby Jones Golf Club.

Stan has experience with the dual assignment, working as the Men’s Golf Coach for Andrew College in Cuthbert, GA while at Meadow Links.  During this time, he earned NJCAA Division II, Conference XVII, Coach of the Year on three different occasions.

A graduate of Georgia State University and former member of the Panthers’ golf team, he also spent some time playing on both the Space Coast and Carolina mini-tours.
