The opening hole features a very wide fairway with a significant elevation drop from the fairway to the small green.  This is the first of three holes that should allow the better players to get off to a hot start.

Pro’s Suggestions:
Because of the small green, the second shot is the most critical on this hole.  The longer hitters can put themselves in trouble by hitting it too far off the tee, leaving an awkward downward sloping lie for their approach to the green.  It is best to leave your tee shot on a level surface, between 100-125 yards out, depending on the length you hit your favorite wedge.
