Andrea Johnson

A senior and Nursing major from Sylvester, Ga., Andrea is the daughter of Garry and Robi Johnson.

While at GSW, Andrea has been a member of the Georgia Association of Nursing Students, National Student Nurses Association and the Association of Nursing Students. She has served on the faculty committee in the School of Nursing and participated in the mentorship program for the School of Nursing. She has also served as a collaborating applicant for the Distinguished Professor Program Project in the GSW School of Nursing.

Andrea is a member of the First Baptist Church in Sylvester, Ga., where she volunteers as a vacation bible school teacher and helps with the tape ministry. She has been named to Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities, Dean’s List, U.S. National Collegiate Award, United States Achievement Academy and the Gamma Beta Phi Society. She has received the Rylander Scholarship, HOPE Scholarship and the School of Nursing Scholarship for 2003-04.

"After graduating from GSW, I plan to attend the Medical College of Georgia to pursue a degree as a nurse anesthetist.

"I feel as if I have received a high quality education that will contribute to my success in my future career. I have gained a great body of knowledge, many skills, and also many friendships. I am confident that I will be successful in my nursing career due to the great education that I have received at GSW."


Todrick Webb

A junior and Piano Performance major from Tifton, Ga., Todrick is the son of Arthur Lee and Jackie Scott Webb.

While at GSW, Todrick has been National Residence Hall Honorary President, Concert Choir President & Vice President for Academic Affairs as well as Student Government Association Senator. He has been a member of College Music Educator's National Conference, NAACP, PAGE, Chunnel Club, RHA, RHC, Gamma Phi Beta, Gamma Beta Mu, The Host and Marshall Program, The Zephyrs Recruitment Team, SAAB, GSW M.O.D.E.L.S. M.A.P. Conference Delegate, Senior Resident Assistant and the GSW Chamber Singers.

Todrick has received the Wheatley Scholarships for Voice, Theatre and Band. He is a Fortner Scholarship recipient, Francis Wilson Scholarship recipient and Who’s Who Among Colleges and Universities honoree. Todrick has received the SGA Award, GSW M.O.D.E.L.S. Service Award, Most Outstanding Choir Member Award and been named to the Academic Achievement List.

"After graduating from GSW, I plan to pursue my Master’s in Piano Performance and then continue studies at the Doctoral level. Ultimately, I plan to teach in an institution of higher learning.

"What I like most about GSW is the diversity seen among its faculty and students. Interacting with such a diverse group has given me experiences and memories that I will treasure for a lifetime."


Christiane Grune

A graduate student and Business Administration major from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Christiane is the daughter of Heinrich and Maria Teresa Grune.

While at GSW, Christiane has been a member of the International Student Association, Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society and GSW’s Students In Free Enterprise team, in which she received awards as part of the team.

"After graduating from GSW, I plan to work as a manager for a global company, where I can have the opportunity to deal with people from other cultures.

"What I like most about GSW is the friendly and peaceful atmosphere, which makes GSW the perfect place to study and make friends for life. The instructors at GSW are always ready to help you whenever you need help, which makes you feel that you are important. GSW has one of the most beautiful campuses that I have ever seen, it surely is an inspiration for every student."


Dorothy Crimes

A graduate student and Business Administration major from Preston, Ga., Dorothy is the daughter of Bobby and Dorothy Young.

While at GSW, Dorothy has been a member of the Sigma Beta Delta International Business Honor Society, Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, Blue Key International Honor Fraternity, Human Resource Council, Centennial Planning Committee, Strategic Planning Steering Committee and the Sumter County Mentoring Program.

Dorothy has been the Vice President for Public Relations of GSW’s Students In Free Enterprise Team, and graduated in May 2003 with Magna Cum Laude honors. She has also been named to Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities. Dorothy is a recipient of the United States Achievement Academy and HOPE Scholarship. Other honors include being named to the National Deans List, GSW Academic Achievement List and Dean’s List.

"After graduating from GSW, I plan to pursue my doctorate degree in Marketing and continue my career in higher education.

"What I like most about GSW is the caring professors and the small class size."


Lucretia Gray

A senior and Psychology/Sociology major from Macon, Ga., Lucretia is the daughter of Janet Gray.

While at GSW, Lucretia has been President of Host and Marshalls, Vice President and Treasurer of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Treasurer of the National Pan-Hellenic Council. She is also a member of the Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society as well as a Resident Assistant.

Lucretia’s honors include being named to Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities and the Dean’s List.

"After graduating from GSW, I plan on attending graduate school to pursue a Ph.D. in clinical psychiatry.

"What I like most about GSW is the very caring community of learning. I love the student-faculty ratio. GSW has many clubs and organizations that you can be a part of to make a difference on our campus, in our community and in the lives of others."


William Royce Hackett

Royce is a graduate student and Computer Science major from Leesburg, Ga.
While at GSW, he has been president of the GSW Chapter of the Association for Computer Machinery and also been a member of Alpha Chi.

Royce was honored as the Outstanding Graduate for the School of Computer and Information Sciences for 2001.

"After graduating from GSW, I plan to continue working in the computer science field in higher education.

"What I like most about GSW is the small student to teacher ratio and an intimate learning environment where every professor knows your name."


Rebecca Jones

A senior and Nursing major from Elko, Ga., Rebecca is the daughter of Tom and Beverly Breeze.

Rebecca is the Public Relations officer for the GSW Student Nurses Association and the senior student representative to faculty. Rebecca has also been a member of the GSW Concert Choir and Chamber Singers. She is a tutor for Learning Support Services.

Rebecca has received the HOPE Scholarship, Knopes Scholarship and Rylander Scholarship. She has been named to Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities, Dean’s List and the Academic Achievement List. Rebecca was also voted as Outstanding Choir Member.

"After graduation I plan to attend graduate school and pursue a career as a Nurse Practitioner.

"What I like most about GSW is the amazing support I have received from the students, faculty, and staff. As a non-traditional student, I have faced many challenges along the way. The support and encouragement they have offered has helped me achieve my educational goals. Coming to GSW has been one of the best decisions I have ever made."


Lauren West

A senior and Early Childhood major from Columbus, Ga., Lauren is the daughter of Carla West.

While at GSW, Lauren has been treasurer of S.G.A.E. and student resident and leader at the Wesley Foundation. Lauren has participated in S.P.A.G.E., GSW’s Baptist Student Union, Gamma Beta Phi, the Honors Program and the Zephyr Team.

Lauren has been named to Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities, the President’s List and also Gamma Beta Phi’s Highest Academic Average.

"After graduation I plan to become an elementary school teacher and make a positive difference in the lives of students.

"What I like most about GSW are the many wonderful people I have been able to meet while attending here. I believe the personal style and size of the campus has been an important factor in that."


Carlos Smiley

A senior and Special Education major from Stewart County, Ga., Carlos is the son of William Greene and Betty Smiley.

While at GSW, Carlos has participated in the Student Council for Exceptional Children and Student Support Services. He has spent time tutoring at-risk children and volunteering with the Special Olympics.

Carlos has also received the Georgia Association of Educators Scholarship.

"After graduation I plan to teach students with learning disabilities at the elementary level.

"What I like most about GSW is the environment. The students and professors are very nice. GSW offers students many opportunities, and the university also sets high standards for the students."


Dan Grahl

A senior and Pre-Med major from Fort Valley, Ga., Dan is the son of Ken and Kathy Grahl.

While at GSW, Dan has participated in the American Medical Student Association, Gamma Beta Phi and also been a member of the 2002 Conference Championship Baseball Team.

Dan has been on the Dean’s List three times, Fall ‘00, Fall ’01 and Spring ’02. He was also nominated for Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities and named to the Blue Key Honor Society.

"After graduating from GSW, I plan to become a doctor, specializing in Radiology.

"What I like most about GSW are the challenging academic courses and the championship athletics, both of which have made a name for GSW."
