The Fine Arts Department at Southwestern offers both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Arts. The digital media concentration emphasizes student engagement with the theory and practice of time-based art. New media art, to include digital video, web art, digital photography, animation, as well as multimedia installation is also presented. Students learn to use numerous computer software tools that enable them to generate and manipulate digital information that is to be viewed within a fine art context. Hands-on training and in-depth exploration of new concepts complement this degree.
