Southwestern’s School of Business Administration offers a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Accounting is the study of recording and summarizing business and financial transactions and analyzing, verifying, and reporting the results. This major is designed to prepare students for the wide variety of positions available in the accounting profession. The program emphasizes the broad-based learning that is required to be successful in this field and offers courses to qualify for the CPA examination. A major in Accounting includes 30 hours of accounting course work in addition to the traditional core curriculum.
