Southwestern’s Dramatic Arts program provides students an interdisciplinary approach to the study of performance. With related course offerings in fields of theatre and communication arts, the distinctive characteristic of this program is its integral focus on performance as a primary means of interaction and transaction. Students are trained on stage and on live camera through the use of Southwestern's television station. In the most specific application, the studio work of this program provides rigorous performance training to prepare students for admission to the best graduate programs in the country.
