The History program at Southwestern offers flexibility in that students can obtain a Bachelor of Arts in History or a Bachelor of Science in History with Teacher Certification. With a variety of programs, open minors, and electives, students can tailor their individual programs to fit their personal career goals. The department has an active Third World Studies program that includes enrichment seminars and allows students the opportunity to obtain valuable work experience in addition to college credit. For those students interested in Law School, there is a Pre-Law advisor on campus to help students prepare for their graduate studies.
