Employers value the ability to solve problems, the capacity to think critically, and the willingness to apply knowledge and understanding to new situations. The mathematics program at Southwestern is designed with these goals in mind. This program offers three degree options; a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, a BS in Mathematics with Teacher Certification, and a BS in Mathematics with an Option in Industrial Mathematics. In addition to getting a broad liberal arts education through their core courses, mathematics majors complete a wide range of courses in their academic field preparing them for a variety of career choices after graduation.
