Arriving By Air Southwestern can be reached by several area airports. These include Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Columbus Metropolitan Airport, Southwest Regional Airport in Albany, and Tallahassee Regional Airport. You will need to make arrangements for transportation from the airport to Americus.

Groome Transportation provides transportation from Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson Airport. Groome is a privately owned transportation company that transports people from the Atlanta Airport to Columbus or Macon/Warner Robins. All are one hour from Americus. Southwestern's Office of Campus Life provides transportation to and from the Albany, Atlanta, and Columbus Airports as needed by our students. There is a charge for this service and we suggest students attempt to plan their flights with other students to lower their individual costs for this service. On Move-in Day each year, staff from our English Language Institute pick new students for their program from Columbus, GA. They offer the same service to other Southwestern students on a space available basis, on that day.
