A student may pursue the
Bachelor of Arts degree in Art, and the Bachelor of Fine
Arts degree in Art. The art programs stress creativity
and independent thinking and the opportunity to exhibit
work in group shows as well as a senior art
exhibition. The art program boasts a productive faculty
of active studio artists who are nationally known in their
studio areas. Many features help make the Fine Arts
building one of the top facilities in the state, including
a 260-seat theater and student art gallery. The Fine Arts
building also contains a sculpture studio and a print
processing center with darkrooms. It also houses a glassblowing
facility which is 1 of 70 in the United States.
