The music program stresses individual attention in presenting the discipline of music. The program is looking for people who enjoy performing and working together to bring out a high level of musicianship. Georgia Southwestern State University music professors are friends and mentors. Private instruction in brass, woodwinds, percussion, piano, and voice is available to all music students. There are several instrumental and vocal groups. All these activities draw on the musical talents of music majors as well as the general college student Georgia Southwestern State University students give frequent performances during the year.
