Assistant/Associate Professor
Georgia Southwestern State University, a member institution of the University System of Georgia, invites applications for a non-tenure or tenure-track position, dependent upon education and qualifications. Salary and rank commensurate with credentials and experience. Position is continent upon funding allocations. Master’s degree in nursing and eligibility for licensure in Georgia required. Preference will be given to candidates with an earned doctorate or significant progress toward a doctorate in nursing or related field; significant experience in clinical practice; particularly adult or pediatric critical care or obstetrical nursing; undergraduate teaching experience, including online teaching; national certification in area of specialty, and scholarly productivity. Responsibilities include classroom, clinical teaching, academic advisement for undergraduate baccalaureate nursing students, faculty practice, scholarly productivity, and participation in School and University committees. Search will remain open until position is filled. The baccalaureate program has full approval from the Georgia Board of Nursing and is accredited by NLNAC. The School of Nursing enjoys collaborative relationships with other campus and community agencies.
