Starlin tapped as GSW Foundation chair, Whaley recognized for
service

New Chair--At the Spring 2004 meeting of the Georgia Southwestern
Foundation's Board of Trustees, Ginger H. Starlin, incoming chair for the
2004-06 term, presented Richard A. Whaley with a chair in recognition of the
time and service given during the past two years as chairman of the Board.
Starlin also acknowledged her fellow officers who were elected to leadership
roles for the Foundation: Sam Hunter, Jr. as vice chair, an executive vice
president with Sumter Bank and Trust; Rudolph Patterson as secretary, an
attorney from Macon; and Barry Blount as treasurer, an executive vice president
with Peoples Community Bank. Other trustees who were re-elected to three-year
terms were: Jay Cliett, Gail Hooks, and Andrea Thomas from Americus; and Harrold
Bowen from Okatie, S.C. The Foundation supports the needs of Georgia
Southwestern State University.
