GSW SBDC offers October classes for budding entrepreneurs

AMERICUS—The Georgia Southwestern State University Small Business Development Center and Continuing Education are co-sponsoring upcoming classes designed for entrepreneurial individuals:

  • “How to Start a New Business” covers business start-up basics, loan options and how to write and present that business plan. Learn the traits of a successful entrepreneur, advantages and disadvantages, marketing, legal entities in Georgia, why some businesses fail, and management and employees. A business start up workbook is provided. Free confidential consulting is also offered. Class will be held in the GSW Continuing Education building on Thursday, Oct. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost is $35 per person.
  • “How to Write a Business Plan that Gets You a Loan” covers critical aspects of this all-important document. Class will be held in the GSW Education Center on Thursday, Oct. 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost is $35 per person.
