GSW to offer four-year degrees at Middle Georgia College

COCHRAN, Ga.--Georgia Southwestern State University is partnering with Middle Georgia College (MGC) to provide greater access to four-year degree programs in Nursing, Early Childhood Education and Business Management with a concentration in Survey Management. Classes begin on MGC's Cochran campus during Spring Semester 2005. 

The agreement between the institutions was formally signed at an Oct. 19 MGC reception. 

GSW President Dr. Michael L. Hanes said the new program offerings benefit students across the area. 

"Georgia Southwestern State University is pleased to join in this collaboration with our colleagues at Middle Georgia College," Hanes said. "Partnering to offer four-year degrees on Middle Georgia's Cochran campus is a positive step toward enhancing educational opportunities throughout the region. We anticipate great student response to this new cooperative agreement." 

MGC President Dr. Richard Federinko said he is very excited about the GSW partnership. 

"It allows more students the opportunity to receive a post-secondary education and will help improve Georgia's economic future," Federinko said.
