GSW plans November Continuing Education classes

AMERICUS—Georgia Southwestern State University has a variety of continuing education courses planned in November, including:

  • Advanced Conversational Spanish for Adults—Class meets six Mondays, Nov. 1 through Dec. 6, 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the GSW Education Center, Room 104, with instructor Connie Zamora Pangle. Cost is $60. For more information or to register, call (229) 931-2151.
  • Beginning Cake Decorating—Class meets four Tuesdays, Nov. 2 through 30 (no class Nov. 23) from 7 to 9 p.m. in the GSW Education Center, Room 100, with instructor Billie Mifflin. Cost is $60 (includes supplies). For more information or to register, call (229) 931-2151.

  • Put the LEAD in Leadership—This basic one-day leadership training workshop is designed to strengthen your skills to more effectively work with people and organize/prioritize time and tasks. Class meets Wednesday, Nov. 3, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the GSW Education Center, Room 102 with instructor Jeanne Elizabeth Sexson. Cost is $80 (includes lunch).   • As They Grow: Fostering Milestone Development (DHR-Approved)—ECE-3 and ECE-4 Learn how to select activities, equipment and materials to foster milestone development from birth to age 4.
