Griffin Bell hosts special guests at GSW

Former U.S. Attorney General Griffin B. Bell ('36), center, hosted a quail breakfast at Georgia Southwestern State University's Private Dining Room January 26 as a part of the 17th annual Griffin B. Bell Quail Hunt weekend. Here, Bell stands with GSW President Kendall Blanchard, left, and Regent Jim Bishop from the First Congressional District. Other special guests included Georgia Lt. Governor Casey Cagle and former president of Martin-Marietta Tom Young. Sponsored by the Americus-Sumter County Payroll Development Authority Bell's quail hunt is used as a means to bring people to Americus and promote local economic development.
