Bryant leads GSW Financial Aid Office

            AMERICUS—Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW) has a new Financial Aid director, Angela Bryant. Having started June 1, Bryant has already begun acclimating herself to the fresh post.

            “I am honored to join the Hurricane family as Financial Aid director and welcome the opportunity to work with the students, parents, faculty and staff at this prestigious university,” said Bryant. “I have already witnessed great respect for family and education at the season’s first Storm Day, and I join in the commitment to our community.”

            Bryant has much experience in the financial aid arena and is well versed in GSW’s financial aid operating system. From 1999 to 2003, she worked as the associate director of Financial Aid at Georgia Perimeter College. In 2003, Bryant assumed the role of director of Financial Aid at Baton Rouge Community College in Louisiana. Her most recent post was at Sungard Higher Education where she served as a senior business analyst and later as a senior financial aid consultant. Georgia Southwestern’s student information system, Banner Web, is a Sungard operating system.

            Bryant’s professional affiliations include membership in the National and Georgia divisions with the Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. Bryant earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Tennessee State University and a Master of Public Administration from the State University of West Georgia.a.
