GSW Day in Atlanta draws considerable crowd
Preparing for Fall ‘08—Georgia
Southwestern Assistant Dean of Students Darcy Schraufnagel, far left,
speaks with potential Fall 2008 freshmen and parents during a reception at the
Carter Center in Atlanta Sunday, April 13. Designed to reach students in the
Metro Atlanta Area, GSW Day attracted over 150 people (students and parents).
Following an Atlanta-area alumni reception, a welcome from President Kendall
Blanchard, and an informative video about life at Georgia Southwestern, students
attended “break-out” sessions from each area of study offered at GSW.
Information booths from Financial Aid, Residence Life and Athletics were
available, as well. GSW Day is one of the many initiatives at Georgia
Southwestern created to increase enrollment. The University aims to grow by 10%,
approximately 250 students, in Fall 2008. - GSW - | |
