GSW, GPC partner for Honors

Earlier this fall Georgia Perimeter College and Georgia Southwestern State
University signed an articulation agreement allowing students in the Honors
Program at Georgia Perimeter to be admitted seamlessly into Georgia
Southwestern's Honors Program. Conditions for the agreement are listed below.

Students transferring to GSW having earned an Honors Program Certificate with
a cumulative GPA of 3.30 will be admitted to the GSW University Honors
Program upon recommendation by the GPC Honors Program Director.
Honors courses earned at
GPC will satisfy the GSW Honors enrichments
in the core areas.
-- Students transferring
to GSW having earned an Honors Program Diploma with
a cumulative GPA of 3.50 will be admitted to the GSW University Honors
Program upon recommendation by the GPC Honors Program Director.
The Honors courses earned at GPC will satisfy the GSW Honors enrichments
in the core areas as well as 2 of the 4 seminar courses. In essence, all
Honors requirements for the freshmen and sophomore years will be fulfilled.
-- Students transferring to GSW
having earned an Honors Program Diploma with
High Honors or Highest Honors may have, in addition to the benefits
described above, one of the two Major area Honors enrichments waived,
pending review by the Director of the GSW University Honors Program.
A generous
stipend is given to students in the Honors Program, but students must live on
campus or with his or her parents in Americus.
