GSW TV programming available online

AMERICUS—Can’t get your fill of GSW TV on…TV? Good news! Georgia Southwestern’s Instructional Technology Department now offers programming on the University’s web site.

“Society today has become accustomed to watching what they want, when they want with the click of a button,” said Bob Slenker, GSW instructional technology coordinator. “I feel this is a logical step forward for the [Americus’] government access television channel.  In addition to providing the community with programming on demand, this will allow potential viewers from around the world to see the wonderful things that are taking place in Americus, Sumter County and at GSW.”

GSW TV is a government access channel for the city of Americus and is housed and operated on Georgia Southwestern’s campus. It can be viewed on television on the Americus Area Mediacom cable channel 16.

To access the site, visit http://www.gsw.edu/~oiit/OnDemand.shtml, or log onto Georgia Southwestern’s home page and select “TV Station” from the “Community Links” drop-down box and follow the links.
