Georgia Power Foundation gives to GSW

Empowering education—Mike Donnelly, right, of Georgia Power Company in Americus, recently presented Georgia Southwestern State University President Kendall A. Blanchard with two gifts from the Georgia Power Foundation. One gift was designated to the Griffin Bell Fund and the other to the University’s Annual Fund. Georgia Power is the largest subsidiary of Southern Company, one of the nation's largest generators of electricity. The company is an investor-owned, tax-paying utility with rates well below the national average. Georgia Power serves 2.3 million customers in all but four of Georgia's 159 counties.
