Isaacs edits Third World journal AMERICUS—Harold Isaacs, Ph.D., professor emeritus of history at Georgia Southwestern State University, has edited “Third World Political, Economic, and Social Developments in Historical Perspective,” the Fall 2008 issue of the Journal of Third World Studies (JTWS), published by the Association of Third World Studies (ATWS). The 295-page volume contains selected papers presented at the GSW Third World in Perspective Program Seminar Series during the 2007-2008 academic year, and additional manuscripts, book reviews and book review essays approved for publication by the JTWS Board of Editors. The board is composed of scholars who are nationally and internationally recognized experts in their respective fields. Since 1984, when Isaacs founded the bi-annual scholarly periodical, ATWS has published 50 issues of JTWS for a worldwide readership of scholars, practitioners in the area of Third World development, U.S. and foreign government officials and employees of non-governmental organizations.
