GSW School of Ed accepting graduate degree applications

AMERICUS--Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW) Dean of the School of Education Lettie J. Watford, Ph.D, today announced that applications are being accepted for the Master of Education (M.Ed) degree in curriculum and instruction and the Specialist in Education (Ed.S) degree in leading and learning – beginning in Summer 2008 and Fall 2008, respectively.

The application deadline for the M.Ed is April 15, and the Ed.S deadline is June 30.

Both degrees will have three tracks, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, and General Education. Each degree will be offered in cohorts, four consecutive semesters for the M.Ed, beginning Summer 2008, and three consecutive semesters for the Ed.S, beginning Fall 2008.

The M.Ed. and Ed.S will include high-quality courses at the graduate level that are aligned with the National Board for Professional Standards for Teaching (NBPTS) and the Georgia Framework for Teaching. Courses for these degrees will be offered on Saturdays (5-7 per semester) partially online and totally online.
