Bell named to Regents Hall of Fame

Exceptional alumni—Saturday, March 29 was a proud day for Georgia Southwestern State University. At a banquet in Atlanta’s Hyatt Regency Hotel, the University System of Georgia Foundation named former U.S. Attorney General and GSW alumnus Griffin B. Bell (’36), right, to the Regents Hall of Fame. Bell is shown here with GSW Foundation Board of Trustees President Elect Rudolph Patterson (’59). The event raises significant funding for scholarships, recognizes distinguished faculty and alumni of the University System and honors an individual who has demonstrated a lifetime of extraordinary service to higher education in Georgia. This year’s lifetime service award was given to U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson.
