Miller awarded WSWG Foundation scholarship
Spirited support—Georgia Southwestern State University student Ivy Miller (third from left) was recently recognized for winning a full tuition scholarship from the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of Georgia (WSWG) Foundation. The daughter of Archie and Chrissy Miller, she is a GSW junior biology major and native of Leesburg. Miller plans to attend South University in Savannah following graduation and enroll in the physician’s assistant program. Miller is joined by (left to right) State Sen. Georgia Hooks; Fred B. Kitchens, Jr., WSWG Foundation; and Brian U. Adler Ph.D., GSW vice president of Academic Affairs. The WSWG Foundation grants scholarships to non-research institutions within the University System of Georgia each year on a rotating basis. Having awarded its first scholarship in 1965, the WSWG Foundation has to date funded 1,001 scholarships totaling over $1 million.
