Panorama provides GSW community members a platform to voice their views on both timely and timeless topics and events. Panorama fosters a richer understanding of important topics and events by encouraging civil discussion from a range of perspectives, thus contributing to an intellectually vigorous and socially aware campus community.
Panorama is a discussion series conceived and hosted by GSW faculty. It provides a platform to all stakeholders of GSW - students, faculty members, staff members, administrators, community members, and others - to discuss events and topics that are current as well as ongoing. Through these discussions, Panorama seeks to make a small but important contribution to furthering GSW's intellectual and social climate, exchanging multiple perspectives on an issue and strengthening the democratic ethos of a public university.
Panorama discussions are generally one hour long, involving a panel of several individuals representing different disciplinary or professional backgrounds. Any GSW stakeholder can propose a Panorama panel. To propose a Panorama event, please e-mail Dr. Joseph Comeau, chair, Panorama, at Joseph.Comeau@gsw.edu. Please provide a clear description of the proposed panel including, if possible, names of panelists that will form the panel, as well as a rationale for how the proposed panel furthers GSW's intellectual and social climate.
