GSW was ranked #40 out of the 100 Most Affordable Small Colleges in the U.S. by bestvalueschools.com. The site defined a “small college” as a traditional, four-year college or university that has 4,000 or fewer students. There are approximately 700 schools of this size in the U.S.

GSW has been named a “Military-Friendly” school by Victory Media. Institutions were named to the elite list based on their ability to meet student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, persistence (degree advancement or transfer) and loan default rates for all students, specifically student veterans.

GSW was ranked as the #1 Most Affordable Online College for MBA Programs according to SR Education Group. This top ranking is based on the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program’s exceptional affordability.

GSW was ranked #2 on the 50 Most Affordable Small Colleges for an HR Degree 2016 list assembled by humanresourcesmba.net. GSW was one of only two Georgia colleges that made the list.

GSW accounting graduates who took the most recent CPA exam ranked #25 among the nation’s medium-sized programs and #3 among universities in Georgia according to a study by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.

GSW's online Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting has been named the #14 best degree program in the nation by online-accounting-degrees.net. The list recognizes the top Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accredited schools across the nation.

GSW's Computer Science program ranked #5 on the list of Best Online Colleges for Computer Science in 2018-19 by onlinecolleges.com.

GSW's online Master's program in Computer Science was ranked #26 for Best Master's in Computer Science for 2019 by onlinemasters.com.

GSW was named #2 in the nation on GradSource.com's list of “Best Online Master’s Programs in Computer Science." The university's online Master of Science in Computer Science degree program also earned the #1 ranking in affordability.

GSW's online Bachelor of Science in Information Technology was ranked as one of the Top 20 "Best Buys" in the country by GetEducated.com, a consumer group that rates, ranks, and verifies the cost and credibility of online universities. The site ranked the University System of Georgia's (USG) WebBSIT program #16 in the nation, out of 88 schools. GSW is one of only six schools within the USG's WebBSIT program.

GSW’s online Master of Science in Computer Science degree was ranked #2 in the country for value by AffordableColleges.com.

GSW's Master's degree in Nursing Informatics was ranked #26 for 30 Best Online Master’s in Nursing Informatics Programs in 2019 by toprntobsn.com.

GSW's School of Nursing was named #38 in the nation on a list of the “Best Online Nursing Programs” by AffordableCollegesOnline.org (AC Online) in its third annual ranking. GSW was among five universities in Georgia that made the list.

The Master of Science in nursing program was ranked #45 out of the 50 best graduate nursing programs in America by www.topmastersinhealthcare.com.

GSW's School of Nursing's RN to BSN online program was named the #28 Best Value in the nation by AffordableColleges.com.

The Master of Science in Nursing program was ranked #44 out of the 50 best online MSN programs in the nation by www.onlinemasters.com.

GSW's School of Education was listed as a “Top 5” best value education program in Georgia by The National Council on Teacher Quality (NCTQ). GSW's undergraduate secondary education degree ranked #3.
