Anish Dave

Dr. Anish Dave is an Associate Professor of English and teaches in the professional writing program. He has a Ph.D. in rhetoric and professional communication from Iowa State University and an MFA in creative writing (fiction) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He also has an MBA in marketing from Gujarat University in Ahmedabad, India. Dr. Dave has a total teaching experience of 18 years and industry experience of 12 years. His research is published in journals such as Research in the Teaching of English and Technical Communication Quarterly. He has peer-reviewed articles for journals in the field of rhetoric, composition, and professional communication such as Technical Communication QuarterlyJournal of Technical Writing and CommunicationResearch in the Teaching of English, and College Composition and Communication. He took over as the Director of GSW's Writing Center in fall 2019.
Lola Carr

Lola Carr

Consultant, English Major
Lola is an English major and Psychology minor. She likes to play music, read, and travel to new places. She enjoys writing because it is a method of expression that everyone can understand and do. In the writing center, she wants to learn new writing strategies and share them with others.
Carly Hall

Carly Hall

Consultant, Accounting Major
Carly is an Accounting major at GSW and anticipates graduating in 2021. She hopes to then pursue her Masters and to ultimately become a Certified Public Accountant. Even though math and numbers are her passion, Carly enjoys reading and writing in her free time. As a consultant, she hopes to help other students in the writing center and to become a better writer herself.
Robert Hughey

Consultant, English Major
Robert Hughey is a Senior English Major on track to graduate Spring 2021. He enjoys writing creative and academic papers and enjoys bringing his experience to help his GSW classmates on all parts of the writing process for any sort of writing assignment or project. Other than focusing on the Writing Center and his studies, Robert also enjoys spirituality and spending time with his family.
Maggie Myers

Maggie is an English Major with a Minor in Marketing. She enjoys reading, writing, and hanging out with friends and family. As a consultant, Maggie hopes to help others reach their potential while continuing to grow in her own writing. 
Michaela Reed

Michaela Reed

Consultant, English Major
Michaela is a former Biology major who has happily switched to English. If you put paper and a pencil in front of her, you will get a page full of drawings and doodles. She also enjoys reading and writing, and she is happy to help others with their own writing process in the university's writing center.
Keshondra Shipp

Keshondra Shipp

Consultant, English Major
Keshondra is a senior English major with a minor in Education. She aspires to become a news broadcaster and editor for a major news broadcasting agency. Until then, you can find her in the English building or library. As a consultant, she hopes to better herself as a writer, and attempt to help other writers that cross her path.
