Teaching in the honors program allows faculty at GSW to offer:
- “Enrichments” of courses where honors students are a part of a general section of GSW students. Enrichment includes some agreed upon and contracted element(s) or project(s) that will enhance the honors student’s experience in the course and also offer inspiration for other students to gain more from their studies. The enrichment project(s) should count between 10 and 25 % of the student’s course grade. See the Enrichment Course Contract under “Forms.”
- Honors Seminars, which are one hour courses created by faculty members who want to offer study into a topic outside the GSW curriculum for highly motivated students. These course titles and descriptions are submitted to the Honors Director when class schedules are being put together for the upcoming semester.
