** Please note that these are presently being accepted for recertification credit for a Georgia teaching certificate, according to new guidelines by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, IF YOU ARE EMPLOYED BY A PRIVATE SCHOOL.

If you are employed by a public school, check with your school administrators to see if these courses will help you with recertification. **

Every class starts every month, and you can join a class up to TWO weeks after it has started and still catch up.

You DO NOT have to enroll as a student at GSW to take these classes.

Price for most teacher recertification courses: $100

GSW Continuing Education has access to the same classes that other Continuing Education programs throughout the state of Georgia offer. If you see a class on their site that you do not see on ours, email the director at mark.grimes@gsw.edu and provide the course name and he can get it for you cheaper.

We can offer the same courses cheaper than other schools because we have a much smaller staff with much less overhead administrative expenses, and because we do this to help our teachers, as opposed to making money for the University.

    1. Register for the course of your choice at www.ed2go.com/gsw
    2. On the course start date, log in and begin your class by starting the first lesson. Make sure that you complete the readings, discussions, assignments, and quiz. You should retake the quiz until you score at least a 70%.
    3. Every Friday and Wednesday for the next 6 weeks, log in and complete the readings, discussions, assignments, and quiz associated with the new lesson.
    4. When the final lesson has been completed, take the final, remembering that you need to score a 75% or better.
    5. Complete the course evaluation and enter any comments on the appropriate screens.
    6. 6. Please note that if you want to include this towards your teacher recertification, YOU MUST COMPLETE EVERY QUIZ AND THE FINAL. Missing quizzes or the final will disqualify you from including that course on your recertification transcript.

For more information on or to register for these courses, please visit our website at www.ed2go.com/gsw. Click on "Courses" and locate the desired course.

Employers today require competent administrative staff with up-to-date office skills. This online certificate program is designed to help you acquire business skills and professional knowledge that distinguish the qualified office assistant. The certificate program consists of seven required courses and three elective courses. You have up to 18 months to complete these courses. Courses last six weeks and have 12 lessons. Two lessons are released each week, one on Wednesday and the other on Friday. Once you have completed all twelve lessons in each course, you must take a final exam for that course. The final exam comes out the same day as Lesson 12, and you have two weeks from that release date to complete the final.

Take each course and spend time practicing what you learned while at home or on the job before going on to another content area.

You must score 75% or higher on each quiz and on the final to get credit for the course; you may retake the lesson quizzes as many times as you like, but you have only one opportunity to take the final.
