As part of its mission to cultivate excellence in learning and teaching, Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW) offers both courses and degree programs in which the majority of the instructional interaction occurs when student and instructor are separated geographically. Specific courses and programs are selected for offering through distance learning methods to provide greater access to GSW programs by providing scheduling flexibility to all potential students, but especially to adult learners with job and family responsibilities that may otherwise limit their educational opportunities. Only courses and programs for which the learning outcomes can be effectively achieved through distance learning methods are selected.
Online Programs Leading to Eligibility for License Exams
None of Georgia Southwestern State University’s fully online programs leads directly to any type of license or eligibility to sit a license examination in any state, including the state of Georgia. The Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting may be a component of the requirements to sit for a Certified Public Accountant License exam in your state of residence, so you would have to contact the agency that grants those licenses in your state of residence to be sure.
