I am delighted to welcome you to the website for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Georgia Southwestern State University . Our academic program is based on the faculty’s beliefs about patient-centered care, evidence based practice, quality improvement, safety, collaboration, innovation, and compassion. The faculty will encourage you to develop individualized learning goals and will assist you in establishing objectives within nursing courses to help you achieve your learning goals. Now, more than ever before, nurses are challenged to care for individuals, families, and communities in rapidly changing health care environments. As graduates of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Georgia Southwestern State University , you will be prepared to assume professional nursing roles in a variety of health care settings to assist in meeting the many challenging health care needs facing our society today. Application deadlines for the Traditional, 2nd Degree, and LPN-BSN Programs are twice a year:
Fall Entry February 15
Spring Entry October 15
Attention transfer students: Your nursing application will require a transcript evaluation so be sure to apply early to the University so that this document can be completed before the nursing application deadline.
Application deadlines for the RN-BSN program track only Spring Entry Summer Entry Fall Entry November 15 April 15 July 15
