What would people be surprised to know about you?
I’m very shy, it’s just the roles I play throughout the University that make me break out of that shell.

What makes GSW special?
I would give the typical answer and say the small campus size and everyone knows each other, but what really makes GSW special is the people. Everyone I have met here so far has been nothing but kind and supportive towards everyone. Whether that’s just a Southern perspective or not, GSW is a place where you know you feel safe and wanted.

What is your favorite memory or experience you’ve had at GSW?
Oh darn! Why only one? I have had countless favorite memories here at GSW, but if I had to pick just one, it would be being part of GSW Drop. Making a change here at GSW for the better and being able to be a part of something that GSW never had until last year was a great experience.

Why did you choose to attend GSW?
I chose GSW because my sister is an alumna, and I was familiar with the campus already. It’s also close to home, and GSW has a great art program that I was very interested in.

Who is your favorite professor or staff member and why?
Justin Hodges is my favorite professor. I could write a book about how he has influenced my life, not only through art, but also as a young black male in today’s society. He is always there to give me a helping hand, not only as my advisor, but also as a friend. Meeting Professor Hodges is always going to be memory I will cherish forever!

What are your most-used emojis? Why do you think so?
My most used emojis are the hand-to-face emoji and the upside-down face emoji. These are my favorite because the hand-to-face emoji symbolizes someone having done or said something stupid and I’m like “OMG, really dude.” The upside-down face can be used for a lot of reasons for me, and it’s just funny to use really.
