Miriam Del Carmen Rodriguez

Fort Valley, GA
Nursing

Miriam graduated in 2011 from Peach County High School in Fort Valley, Ga. Miriam chose GSW partly because she believed it would be the perfect fit for her since the university offered both a small campus feel and the diversity of a larger campus.

“I like GSW because of the small yet diverse student body. I have come to appreciate the different views that others have and enjoy learning from them," said Miriam.

Miriam is majoring in nursing, and the nursing program is another reason she made the decision to attend GSW.

“I love nursing. I like the idea of making a difference in the lives of others,” said Miriam. “It is a challenging yet fulfilling major, and I can’t see myself doing anything else.”

She is currently a Pope Fellow in the Rosalynn Carter Institute of Caregiving and a member of the GSW Association of Nursing Students (GSWANS).

Miriam hopes to graduate with her Bachelor’s in Nursing in May 2015.
