AMERICUS (March 7, 2012)--Georgia Southwestern State University’s online Bachelor of Science in Information Technology has been ranked as one of the top twenty “Best Buys” in the country by the education web site GetEducated.com, a consumer group that rates, ranks, and verifies the cost and credibility of online universities.
GetEducated.com ranked the University System of Georgia’s (USG) WebBSIT program sixteenth in
the nation, out of 88 schools. Georgia Southwestern is one of only six schools within the USG’s WebBSIT program.
Southwestern’s program is taught through the School of Computing and Mathematics. Known for its quality, affordability, and commitment to student service, this program was started to meet the needs of busy professionals who saw the benefits of continuing their education, but knew it would be tough to juggle their career and family responsibilities with a standard class schedule.
