Hicks Hired As Head Men's Basketball Coach
Georgia Southwestern State University athletic director Mike Leeder has hired Ben Hicks to be the school's next head men's basketball coach. Hicks comes to Georgia Southwestern from Columbus State University where he was an assistant coach the past four seasons under Robert Moore.
Munoz named Head Women's Soccer Coach
Georgia Southwestern State University athletic director Mike Leeder has hired Harold Munoz to be the school's next head women's soccer coach. Munoz comes to Georgia Southwestern from Mercer University where he was an assistant coach on the women's soccer staff the past two seasons under former GSW head coach Tony Economopoulos (2009-11).
Jarrett Joins Baseball Coaching Staff
Georgia Southwestern State University head baseball coach Bryan McLain has announced that Ken Jarrett will be joining his staff as an assistant coach for the 2016-17 academic year. Jarrett comes to GSW from East Central University in Ada, Okla., where he served as a graduate assistant the past two seasons. At East Central he worked with outfielders and base runners, assisted hitters and coordinated team travel.
McDonald to lead GSW Cross Country
Georgia Southwestern State University athletic director Mike Leeder has announced the hiring of Paula McDonald as head coach of the women's cross country program. McDonald comes to Georgia Southwestern from Southland Academy in Americus where she most recently served as the head boys and girls cross country coach since 2010.
Fox and Holloman take new roles at James Earl Carter Library
The Library is excited to introduce our new Cataloging Librarian/Bibliographic Database Manager, Bokshim Fox. Bokshim is a graduate of GSW, and began working at the Library as a student worker. After graduation, she obtained her Masters in Library Science from VSU.
Adrian Hollomon began her duties as Inter Library Loan assistant in April. She is a graduate of GSW and worked in the Lake Blackshear Regional Library system before coming to the James E. Carter Library. Please see Adrian for all your inter library loan requests.
