Milestones
Dr. Nedialka Iordanova, associate professor of Chemistry, became a United States citizen on Jan. 20, 2017 (Inauguration Day). A native of Bulgaria, Dr. Iordanova completed her graduate studies at Pennsylvania State University. Over the last decade, Dr. Iordanova’s impact on Georgia Southwestern State University and the field of Chemistry has been recognized with multiple awards such as: the GSW Featured Scholar Award (2013), Wiley-International Journal of Quantum Chemistry Young Investigator Award (2012) and the Vice-President Award for Excellence in Scholarship (2011), to name a few.
Dr. Iordanova continues to be an avid advocate for GSW’s students, faculty/staff and the Americus community. Congratulations Dr. Iordanova on becoming a U.S. citizen!

Each month the school of nursing gathers for a birthday lunch to celebrate any birthdays during the month. For February, the SON celebrated with a Mardi Gras themed lunch to celebrate Joy Humphey and Joann Davis’ birthdays.
