Robins signs publishing contract for new book

History professor and department chair Glenn Robins, Ph.D., recently signed an advanced publishing contract with the University Press of Kansas for his next book, The Politics of Victimhood: Max Cleland, Jimmy Carter, and Vietnam Veterans.

The book, scheduled for release in 2021, examines public debates concerning Vietnam Veterans in the 1970s. The Politics of Victimhood will be Robins’ sixth authored or edited book to be published.

Laughlin releases new CD

Mark Laughlin, associate professor of music, released a new CD of the piano works of Spanish pianist and composer, Enrique Granados (1867-1916). Granados modeled much of his music on Spanish folk-idioms during his career, and Mark’s recording, titled Enrique Granados, is a collection of many of those works including Danzas: Espanolas, Op. 37 and Valses Poèticos. The recording is available through Amazon.com.
