Caregiving study by Easom and Cotter published in nursing journal
Leisa Easom, Ph.D., RN, and Ellen Cotter, Ph.D., recently had a study published in the Journal of Gerontological Nursing. The study, “Comparison of African American and Caucasian Caregiver Self-Efficacy,” explored the changes in caregivers’ belief in their ability before and after participating in a caregiving program. They focused more specifically on the comparison of African American and Caucasian populations to better understand the resources and needs of different groups.
Easom is the new associate dean of GSW’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences and the former executive director of the Rosalynn Carter Institute (RCI). Cotter is a professor of psychology in GSW’s Department of Psychology and Sociology.
