Sid Walker joins Office of Recruitment and Admissions
Sid Walker, known to many on campus as “Sid the Kid,” joined the Office of Recruitment and Admissions effective January 2, 2019. In his role as Multicultural Admissions Recruiter, Sid will guide prospective students through the admissions process, advise students about programs and courses and represent GSW at high schools, fairs and events in an effort to recruit a diverse student body.
A native of Decatur, Georgia, Sid recently graduated from GSW in December 2018 as a Political Science/Pre-Law major with a minor in Sociology. He previously earned an Associate degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University.
Sid notes that his studies in political science at GSW showed him power of difference. He believes that diversity in any institution fosters success.
George Banketas named Reporting and Data Management Specialist
George Banketas II recently joined GSW as the new Reporting and Data Management Specialist. George is a GSW alum with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, a long-time resident of Cordele, and is an avid runner and cyclist.
RCI welcomes three new hires
RCI welcomed three new hires with the start of the New Year! Each of these ladies will serve as Caregiver Coaches for RCI’s signature military program, Operation Family Caregiver, at our three new V.A. sites in Texas, Arizona, and North Carolina. We enjoyed having all three of them on campus with us last week for training!
