Canes Spotlights Announced
Canes Spotlights highlight Georgia Southwestern students who hold leadership roles, are involved in extracurricular activities and excel academically on campus. The March Canes Spotlights were senior Marketing major Celia del Castillo and senior Music major Leah Anglin.
Canes Spotlights are nominated by GSW faculty and staff.
Andy Moore named Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week
GSW designated hitter Andy Moore was named the Peach Belt Conference Baseball Player of the Week by the league office Tuesday afternoon.
Moore becomes the first Hurricane to earn PBC Player of the Week honors. GSW has produced five PBC Freshman of the Week winners, including Moore's teammate Hunter Foster earlier this month, and two PBC Pitcher of the Week honorees.

Vincent Norrman & Aimee Oglesby named Athletes of the Month
Men's golfer Vincent Norrman and softball player Aimee Oglesby have been named the Georgia Southwestern State University Department of Athletics top performers for the month of February.
GSW coaches nominate athletes and vote for the recipients of the award each month.
