Sarah Slayden

Consultant, Human Resources Major
Online

Sarah Slayden, a sophomore in the College of Business (online), is working toward a bachelor's degree in human resources.

"I am a mom of four children (14,10, and 9-month-old twins), with bonus children, a feline fur baby (Cleopatra),and a police officer husband. Prior to the birth of my twins, I was in restaurant management (general manager, service manager),and with the five most recent years as a culinary manager for a popular corporate concept. I returned to college after an eighteen-year hiatus to pursue my interest in ensuring team members of all levels are respected, informed, and recruited to create the best environment for not only the business, but with the public, consumer, or investor(s) in mind, as well. I also want to show my children that it is never too late to achieve your goals or find your place in this world! Some of my favorite writers include F. Scott Fitzgerald, Flannery O'Connor, Edgar Allan Poe, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Charlotte Perkins Gillman, and J.K. Rowling!"
