GeorgiaVIEW & GoVIEW

GeorgiaVIEW and GoVIEW are GSW's online learning environments. The GeorgiaVIEW and GoVIEW course sites allow "anytime, anywhere" access to syllabi, readings, multi-media files, assignments, quizzes, communication, grades, etc. Every GSW course has an online course site, be sure to check it regularly for course updates and notifications.

Before logging in to GeorgiaVIEW/GoVIEW, new students must complete the following:

  1. Log in to your GSW Radar Email Account via https://outlook.com/gsw.edu
  2. Change your password after using your initial, temporary password to log in. More info can be found at Email Services.
  3. Set up your Multi-factor Authentication method. 

Then, students will be able to login to all of GSW’s IT systems, reset their password (if needed), etc.

Distance Learning Logins

Choosing the correct system is critical, and the login process differs for each:

  • GeorgiaVIEW is for online and in-person GSW courses
  • GoVIEW is for eCore, eMajor, and MSN/FNP courses and requires separate login information.

Login Information Details

GeorgiaVIEW Username and Password

GeorgiaVIEW is used for regular GSW classes, and your credentials will derive from your GSW CanesNet username and password.

  • GeorgiaVIEW is used for regular GSW classes, and your credentials will derive from your GSW CanesNet username and password.

    • Your GeorgiaVIEW username is your CanesNet username: your entire Radar Student email address, for example, jdoe3@radar.gsw.edu
    • Your GeorgiaVIEW password is your CanesNet password
      • If you forgot your CanesNet password, you can reset it by clicking the “I forgot my password” link on the GeorgiaVIEW login page.

GoVIEW Username and Password

GoVIEW username for students enrolled in the INGRESS (MSN/FNP/eCore/eMajor) processed courses differs from a GSW CanesNet username.

  • GoVIEW username is the part of your GSW email address before the ‘@’ symbol plus an “_gsw” extension:
    • For example, if the CanesNet username is jdoe3, the GoVIEW username will change to jdoe3_gsw
  • You have to set up your GoVIEW password:
    • When you log in for the first time, BEFORE entering anything in the username and password fields, click the “Forgot your password?” link on the login page
    • On the next page, enter your GoVIEW username (with “_gsw”) and click the Submit button 
    • An email with the password reset link will be sent to your GSW Radar email account (for faculty: GSW email account) from donotreply@donotreply.view.usg.edu
      • You have to set up/reset your password within 72 hours
      • The password is case sensitive and must contain no less than 10 characters

  • Students are required to use two-factor authentication (2FA) to access GoVIEW.

    You will be prompted to set it up with the authentication app of your choice. You can skip the setup process up to five times before it becomes required.

**If you registered for eCore, eMajor, or MSN Nursing classes within the last two business days, please note that there may be a delay of 24 to 48 hours from the time of registration to when you gain access to courses in GoVIEW.
