Personally Owned Computing Equipment Standard and Procedures

IIT does not repair personally owned computing equipment. Services provided for faculty and staff personally owned computing equipment include:

  1. Installation of VPN software on personally owned computing equipment.
    1. This is on an as need basis and for end users that have a business need for this software.
      1. The end user will need to submit a technical support request to techsupp@gsw.edu.
      2. The technician will make an appointment with the user, and install the software.
  2. We will help the end users configure the campus Wi-Fi (CanesNet) on their personally owned computing equipment.
    1. The end user will need to submit a technical support request to techsupp@gsw.edu.
    2. The technician will then make an appointment.
  3. We will help end users configure GSW Exchange email on mobile phones and other computing devices.
    1. The end user will need to submit a technical support request to techsupp@gsw.edu.
    2. The System Administrator will then make an appointment to meet with the user.
