If you missed the 24-hour window but still want to make a gift, you can contribute here.

Florrie Chappell Gymnasium Renovation
Southwestern Annual Fund

Your contribution toward the renovation of the Florrie Chappell Gymnasium will help bring this historic building back to life and create a student and community activity center.

Southwestern Promise Scholarships are $1,000 and $2,000 scholarships for all eligible GSW freshmen in the 56-county region of Southwest Georgia who meet certain academic requirements.

The Southwestern Annual Fund will encompass the general needs of the GSW student body, including program development, scholarships, events, and other miscellaneous items.

Academic Improvement
Athletics Facility Improvement

GSW is committed to academic innovation and excellence. Your contribution to the Academic Improvement fund will bolster faculty and staff research projects and activities to enhance the student learning experience.

GSW Athletics is in the process of developing a new indoor baseball/softball hitting and training facility. Your donation to Athletics Facility Improvement will help support the construction of this new facility.

If you can't decide among the five funds designated for GSW's Day of Giving, you may always make a gift to one of our other funds. We appreciate your support!

Watch to see why Jody Wade's fond nostalgic memories lead him to support the Florrie Chappell Gymnasium Renovation! Nick Cohen and Elli Lucas explain how the Southwestern Promise Scholarship helped ease the financial burden of their families during their freshman year at GSW. GSW Student Accounts Director Christy Barry tells how supporting the Southwestern Annual Fund can directly benefit our students. GSW Associate Professor of Exercise Science Catalina Casaru explains how the Academic Improvement fund aids research and innovation of GSW's academic programs. GSW Athletic Director Mike Leeder talks about the new hitting facility that will benefit from your support of the Athletics Facility Improvement fund.

For the first time ever, Hurricanes around the world—alumni, community members, parents, friends, neighbors, faculty, staff, and students—came together for Georgia Southwestern State University's inaugural Day of Giving on October 10, 2019. For this 24-hour giving challenge, we selected five funds that support each of the causes you care about—athletics, scholarships, student success, academic improvement, and facility renovations. If you joined our giving challenge on October 10, your gift will change lives so students can continue to get a quality education that doesn't come with years of debt, our experienced faculty can offer new programs of interest for students to help benefit our region's workforce, and our facilities are improved to ensure an enhanced student experience.

Seven Americus eateries generously offered to donate a portion of their food sales to GSW's Day of Giving on October 10! Even if you didn't make a donation through our site, if you patronized one of the following restaurants during the given time frames below on October 10, you helped us get closer to our goals!
